SuzieQ and the Monster Mushroom was written and illustrated by fifth and sixth grade students of Good Shepherd Catholic School in Monroe, La., in Ouachita Parish.SuzieQ Snail was a very hottie-tottie little snail that always got her way, except one day when she encountered a problem with a monster mushroom. Her dear friend Bubba Beetle, a tough rhinoceros beetle, comes to SuzieQ’s rescue.
